Deadpool is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld, the character first appeared in New Mutants #98 (December 1990). In his comic book appearances, Deadpool is initially depicted as a supervillain of the New Mutants and X-Force, though later stories would portray him as an antihero. Deadpool is the alter ego of Wade Wilson, a disfigured Canadian mercenary with superhuman regenerative healing abilities. He is known for his tendency to joke incessantly and break the fourth wall for humorous effect.

                           

The character's popularity has seen him featured in numerous forms of other media. In the 2004 series Cable & Deadpool, he refers to his own scarred appearance as "Ryan Renolds [sic] crossed with a Shar Pei".^[6][7] Reynolds himself developed interest in portraying the character when reading this comic,^[8] which was ultimately realized in the X-Men film series, including X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Deadpool (2016), and its sequel Deadpool 2 (2018).^[9][10][11] He is set to reprise the role in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024), set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.^[12]

 Drake has dropped off the third installment in his Scary Hours franchise, For All the Dogs Scary Hours Edition.

The project arrives following a surprise announcement from The Boy, who revealed in a tw0-minute teaser that the project was created in just five days. “Ultimately, it’s coming to me in a way that I haven’t experienced maybe since like If You’re Reading This where it’s kinda just like, I feel like I’m on drugs. I feel like I’m in that mental state without doing anything,” he said in the visual. “I did those songs in the last five days. I didn’t have one bar written down for those songs on the night that For All the Dogs dropped. That’s not picking up from some unfinished shit, you know. It’s happening on it’s own, and who am I to fight it, right? And to fight back against the right thing would be, well, you know.”

Scary Hours 3 features a total of a whopping 29 tracks and clocks in at almost two hours, including the original tracks on For All the Dogs and six brand new tracks with a second feature from J. Cole on “Evil Ways.” OVO’s Noel Cadastre, NBA star Kevin Durant and Drizzy serve as executive producers.

The new EP is the first in the franchise since 2021 and follows For All the Dogs. Fans were pleasantly surprised with the release, seeing as Drake stated in early October that he will be taking a break from new music due to some health issues. “I’ve been having the craziest problems with my stomach for years. I need to get right, I have a lot of other things I would love to focus on so I’m going to lock the door on the studio for a little bit. I don’t know what a little bit is. Maybe a year or something. Maybe a little bit longer,” he said. It remains to be seen whether he will follow through with this break after this project.

The Georgia-born rapper’s meteoritic rise started with his track “Old Town Road” — released independently as a single in 2018 — which made the Billboard 100 and became a viral TikTok meme in the process. But the star’s music is only part of the story. Lil Nas X demonstrates a type of celebratory, unabashed queerness that is badly needed in the music industry right now, and culture more generally.

The breakout success of “Old Town Road” sparked interesting and important conversations about race and country music. But after his June 2019 Twitter post celebrating his queer identify, Nas' vibrant ascension took on a new purpose for his growing legion of fans — especially his LGBTQ listeners. In an industry still steeped in homophobia, transphobia, biphobia and overall anti-LGBTQ attitudes, Lil Nas X is a bold symbol of freedom.

Nas is a disruptor, a title that took on new meaning as he began work on his debut album "Montero" in 2020, amid the Covid-19 pandemic and a broader fight against racial inequality.

“Creating this album has been therapy for me,” Nas said in a Twitter post detailing his work on "Montero." “I’ve learned to let go of trying to control people’s perception of who I am, what I can do, and where I will be. I’ve realized the only opinion of me that really matters is my own.”

In March, the artist released the video for “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” to both fanfare and exhaustingly obtuse hate from public figures, fellow musicians and listeners. But his lap dance with the devil proved to be a perfectly choreographed conversation starter — with the video spotlighting an intentional representation of queer sexuality often hidden from view — specifically for Black and brown artists in the hypermasculine and often anti-LGBTQ hip hop genre.
